Beachfront & Common Areas
Barat Perhentian sits directly along the shoreline of Perhentian Besar, offering guests immediate access to the beach throughout their stay. The sea is only steps away, making it easy to move between rooms, dining areas, and the water without crossing roads or public spaces.
Barat signature floating jetty measuring about 120 meter long, which functions as the main arrival and departure point for guests travelling by boat. This jetty is also used for snorkeling trips, diving activities, and water taxi services, allowing for smooth movement to and from the island.
Common areas around the resort are designed for rest and simple enjoyment. Seating areas are located near the beach and shared spaces, giving guests places to sit, relax, read, or enjoy the sea breeze between activities. These spaces are informal and open, encouraging a relaxed island atmosphere rather than structured use.
Sun loungers and casual seating are available in selected areas near the beach, offering comfortable spots to unwind during the day. Whether spending time after a swim or watching the sunset, these shared spaces are intended to support easy, unhurried island living.
Guest Services
Our front desk assists guests with check-in, activity arrangements, sea transfers, and general enquiries throughout the stay. Support is available for snorkeling and diving schedules, boat transfers, and local information to help guests plan their time on the island with ease.
Luggage storage can be arranged for arrival and departure days, subject to availability. As an island resort, services may operate on adjusted schedules depending on sea and weather conditions.

Open-air waterfront restaurant serving Malaysian, Western, and Asian cuisine. Seats approximately 200 guests with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Dinner: 6:00pm – 10:00pm

Nightly BBQ Station
Beachside BBQ station operating nightly from 7:00pm – 9:30pm (weather permitting). Fresh grilled seafood, chicken, and vegetables prepared to order.
BBQ set meals available with advance booking. Walk-ins welcome for à la carte items. Enjoy dinner by the shore as the sun sets over the water.
Activities on the Island
Activities at Barat Perhentian centre around the sea and the island landscape. Guests can enjoy snorkeling, diving, kayaking, boat trips, fishing, sunset tours, and water taxi services to nearby beaches, with arrangements assisted by the resort.
Most activities are scheduled based on sea and weather conditions, and availability may vary by season.
Scuba diving trips and courses are available for guests looking to explore the surrounding waters. Certified instructors conduct guided dives and training programs, with equipment rental provided for convenience.
